There are many organizations that offer workshops and training to assist
you in growing your business. You should find a few in your area to
attend. Some are free and others cost a modest fee.

Empire State Development, New York's economic development agency, administers
the Small Business Events
Calendar that is a guide to workshops and seminars available around
the state designed to help entrepreneurs, small business owners and
their employees get the training they need to start or grow their businesses.
New
York State Small Business Development Centers are administered by
the U.S. Small Business Administration and provide a wide range of information
and guidance. Services include targeted business training seminars and
classes that are offered through their Centers.

York State Office of Science, Technology & Academic Research's (NYSTAR) Regional
Technology Development Centers are designed to create and
support statewide network of business assistance centers especially
suited to help high technology and manufacturing companies thrive in
New York.
New
York State Department of Taxation and Finance Outreach Events offer
educational outreach in your area. These events can help you understand
New York State tax law and develop tax planning strategies.
Trade Associations can be a wellspring of advice, information and other
pertinent data. Your local New
York State Small Business Development Center can also help you find
out more about industry specific businesses trade associations.
You should also check with your local Chambers
of Commerce,
Community
colleges and
Boards
of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) in your area.
The U.S. Small Business Administration's

Training Network is a virtual campus housing free training courses,
workshops and knowledge resources.
